Social Media Assistant

We’re hiring a Social Media Assistant to support our digital marketing team in creating, scheduling, and managing content across various platforms. In this role, you’ll help grow our online presence, engage with audiences, and ensure brand consistency while staying up to date with social media trends.

Summary

We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team. This position is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in the field of social media marketing. You will assist in developing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging content, and building our online presence, including working with our diverse clients from Australia.

Tasks & Duties

Assist in the creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
Manage social media platforms and contribute to content creation and scheduling using tools.
Support email marketing efforts and assist in the development of newsletters and promotional materials.
Contribute to the development of digital marketing materials, such as graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create and update marketing collateral and digital assets.
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner to foster community engagement.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform content creation.
Help track and analyze social media performance metrics to measure engagement and reach.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals.

Qualifications & Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
1+ year of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or a related field
(internships or volunteer experience welcome).
Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences.
Basic knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) is a plus.
Understanding of content creation and copywriting principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Creative mindset with a passion for social media and digital trends.

Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
